"We're still working on housing for you. We'll go see who has a bed free." she said, not unkindly as she moved from behind her desk reach an arm aorund his waist to help steady him.
Alexis looked around horribly slowly at the tap on her open door, then took in the scene. She nodded once and slipped off her cot, bo still in hand as she slipped past the pair and oput into the hallway to sink to the floor and stare at the wall, bo across lap once more.
Janine clucked as the girl drifted past "Well, let's hope you're not as sad a case as her. She's only good for one thing now really according to the Docs. We call her Drifter...." she chuckled, drawing teh blankets down on the bed.

"I'm fine." He said but didn't try to turn away her help. When they got to the room it took him a moment to see who was walking out of it. He glanced back over his shoulder a bit sadly as she left and he heard the women's comments about her then sank onto the bed. He didn't make any comments, just buried his head into the pillows and shut his eyes. Letting the alcohol take him into the numbing darkness.

Janine flipped of ftyhe lights and closed the door before sighing and snapping her ingers in front ogf the girls face "YOu shoudl really get some sleep as well."
As usaul, the girl simply shrugged very slowly and continued staring.
Janine had yet to figure out if it was teh drugs taht the Docs had her on or just general apathy...hell, she hadn't even learned the girls real name.
An hour or so later saw a clip board passed to Alexis, another mission, another nest...
Silently she stood up and headed out once more.

Slowly he lifted his head and groaned, running and hand over his hair. Headache, bad one. He couldn't be sure how much time had passed and as he sat up he realized he wasn't even sure where he was. But he was alive, and suffering a hangover so apparantly the hunt had gone alright.
With that in mind he stood up and tried to compose himself as memories slowly began to trickle back. He needed a shower, and a change of clothes. Neither of which were here so he left the room and headed down the hallway in search of them.

Alexis had just found her way home once more. She was wakling down the hallway, peckled in dirt and ichor, one side of her hair simply plastered into a frozen crest by goop...she seemed so alive, the thrill of the hunt just barely fading...
ANd looking at teh pills in her hands and wondering why she had to takle them again.
Oh yeah...
Docs said so.

He saw her coming down the opposite way and thought about just walking past. Or, seeing her good mood saying something that would ruin it after yesterday. He couldn't bring himself to do either, vaguely remembering her giving up her bunk last night, and so he gave her a nod. "Good hunt?"

She looked up from the handful of pills and blinked. He was here?!
She furrowed her brow, trying to remember some where in the haze of last night...he'd come in? He was...sick?
Maybe?
She chalked it up to bad memory and simply smiled slightly, nodding "Yeah, good enough. No traitorous slime balls or collapsed caverns though..."
Funny, she could always remember hunts...

"Lucky you, although sometimes that's what makes a hunt interesting." He glanced down at her hand and arched an eyebrow, "What are all those?"

She looked back down and half-shrugged. "I don't know" she admitted.

"Then why are you taking them?" He asked, stating a simple given.

"Easier on everyone?" He looked at her confused, "What are you talking about? Was it a shrink? Because I've seen a couple of those quacks myself and let me tell you, they're all a bunch of quacks. Punched the last one in the face he was such an idiot."

She looked really confused for a second, an almost questioning, hesitant look in her eyes. "A...doctor. Doctors. Docs. Said take them." she repeated, in a voice not her own.

He recognized that voice, he'd heard it in others they'd broken. Controlled or whatever the hell it was they did to make them there's and take away whoever the person had been. Angrily he swatted her hand, spilling the pills out of it. "Damn them! No, you don't need these, especially if you don't know what the hell they're for. Jesus Alex, you used to be smarter than that! Why not just take whatever drug or drink they hand to you? Maybe next time you'll luck out and get some cyanide huh?"

Teh spark of violence shifted her mental gears so quickly it was almost like watching an explosion. Even broken, the better parts of her where still there, only hidden away.
She snarled and slammed him against the wall, bo staff held against his throat as a restraining measure, though no energy flowed through it. "The doctors want a nice broken creature, fine, good for them, I want to just forget everything and be told it's okay to let loose sometimes, and damn the consequences" she growled.
"Sure, I'm smarter than all that. But you want to know what? PLaying dumb doesn't hurt as much!"
She took a deep breath and stepped back, removing teh weapon "Besides, cyanides nice."
