Hmmm, how had she gotten back inside last time? She coudln't remember....
Not in the least.
"Hey, mouse!" she cried happily, following the tantalizing scent to a wood pile. She followed it along a large tunnel over fire wood until her head bumped a wall. "Ouch!" she muttered.
But the scent went that way! Thump thump thump!
The wall moved slightly.
"Meow?"

Meeha preened her ruffled feathers and looked around, then flapped her wings as the fire wood chute door began to thump "Aliens!"

Bart sighed and went to pick up the turtle again. He had a good feeling that he would be carrying everyone at one point or another during this trip.
"What about me? Let me out! Letmeoutletmeoutletmeoutletmeout!" He ferret said almost frantically as he pulled on the bars of his cage.

Andrew ignored hte poccupant of hte cage as she bit throught he wire holding the door shut. She spit the bits out and would have smiled at the ferret, if she could have.
"Looks like we're all out, now." s he noted. "Thank you for lifting me, Bart." she added.

"Weel, freedom is wonderful boys and girls" meeha screeched "But aliens have landed, we're doomed!"
And from the fire wood chute came more muffled thumping.

Charcoal looked idly from the bird...to the chute...and then just generally around the room, before burying his face in his paws.
"We're all gonna starve."

Bart crooked his ears and stared at the chute then finally wandered over and began to sniff. The thumping stirred up dust and ash and he began to sneeze.
The ferret meanwhile seemed to have disappeared the moment its cage was open.
