But she 'eeped.' One head noted...their personalities swapped sides every once in a while, making long conversations odd.
Hey! She's asleep! Think she'd notice if she woke up with one less leg?
For the last time, no more talking about eating people!!!

Sheen nodded, adjusting mirrors Yes, I can pilot this, I observed her and the mechanics are rather simplistic... she pointed out
She shifted the car to drive and pressed teh gas slightly, keeping an eye on teh dial. The girl had kept it between that odd squiggle and this odd squiggle...

The ride started out rather bumpy at first but quickly smoothed out. Nexus watched in fascination as Sheen drove and Th'n lay across the back seat looking out the window, tuning out the two headed argument knowing it would go on a long time before any sort of resolution was made. He just hoped it didn't turn into another fight. Aside from being odd, it is also hard to break up a fight between two beings who are actually the same.

Sheen sniffed. This was easy. She had yet to hit anything, and despite the wild honking going on around her people actually seemed to be clearing a path. Which was only right after all, she was the pilot, and they were simple back water barbarians.
She didn't understand why the local, Terri, had stopped so often, It was clear after all...and all those advertisements signs and such seemed like a bad reason to slow or stop, despite their eye smarting red color.

The two-headed crustacean was a bit more aware of the...improper method of driving...which didn't help much, as it only made him a bit more aware of the possibility of major injury if they didn't stay lucky.
Um...We're going to die, aren't we?
I would presume so...maybe we should take up walking?
I don't know about you, but I'm taking up writing my will!
Thenc ame the police sirens, as they were tailed...

Nexus sat on the dashboard, grinning from ear to ear. The mechanics were so crude, but the vehicle did have a nice speed for a primitive terran vehicle, and it was exhilirating. They other vehicles around with blaring horns were a bit nerving, but he figured out the radio and listened as the native music played.
"My...they certainly have an obsession with 'booty' here on this planet." he mused as the bass pounded and some rap group sang. "Uh oh..." He glanced in the rearview mirror as sirens started.
"Don't stop." Th'n said from the back.
"That's what got us into trouble in the first place. Stop and we'll sort it out."
"Don't be stupid, you stop and they'll try to kill us all."
"Not if you don't threaten them again. Stop."
"I wasn't threatening them, I just wanted to scare them. Don't stop."
"And they shot at us. If I explain we can take care of this. Stop."
"No. We can't trust them, keep going."
The two began to argue, Th'n leaning over the seat and Nexus stood on Sheen's shoulder to face him.

Sheen...ignored them. Evasive manuevers were a specialty of hers. She grinned, showing delicte fangs. The station wagon probably wasn't supposse dto go a hundred and five in New York, in a crowded area...
...but it did.
And she didn't hit a thing...in fact, testing her reflexes as she craeened into alleys at last minute were almost fun.
Teh sirens faded behind them and she checked her mental compass Not too much longer now

The sharp turned sent Nexus flying off of Sheen's shoulder but Th'n was quick and caught him before he splatted against the window. The lion held the mouse carefully and they both looked back to see their pursuers disappear.
"Nice steering." Th'n remarked.
"Very good, but then you always were the best of pilots." Nexus agreed.

Thank you she said over her shoulder. Another five minutes of manuevers no station wagon should be able to do and she was applying the break to bring them to a smooth stop at the girls house.
Well, I guess this is headquarters

Th'n wrinkled his nose when he saw the house but Nexus beemed. "Oh my! A human habitat. How interesting. Have you been inside the dwelling yet?"

Both of Umdai's heads had covered their eyes...and, as they stopped, one peeked and asked, Are we dead?
The other looked, in turn. If we are, the afterlife is a very messed up place...
As long as they have food... the first responded, grinning manically.
Sigh...

Sheen sighed and picked up the human female. She was feeling a bit testy, needed a meal...and she missed her mate.
She blinked and near dropped the girl. Her mate! Gods above she was going to bear kittens and she didn't know where her mate was!
Oh star dust... she moaned, cradling the girl carefully and heading inside.

Nexus leapt down from the car and quickly scampered towards the house. "Oh, this is so exciting. I wish I had my data pad, so much information to log."
Th'n sighed and rolled his eyes, squeezing out of the car and looking at Sheen. "You alright?"

Sheen's neck fur prickled as she considered growling at Th'n, but he was her friend after all. No one has seen my mate have they? she asked quietly.

Umdai had stood, and skittered towards Th'n and Sheen. Your mate? No...last time I saw him was right before we ended up here. While we were still on the ship.
