"Well considering I've put the word out for champions to everyone but the demon hordes that Godai birthed, I dont think stealth is really going to be our selling point. actually I might go armourless. I'm quite agile without it. but it is good for show." a balcony window fluttered open. he looked at it cautiously, but not with fear. "You 'spectin' 'nother friend dear?"

"You are the one expecting. I am simply observing." she pointed out, standing up from the table and moving to the wall where she could keep the new arrivals in view.

Literally floating in on a cloud was the sprites. Mycroft had drawn his sword once again, but sheathed it. "Bloody hell, can't any one announce themselves at the gate!" he ranted slightly.

Wonderful...[/color]The quest was becoming very unappealing...Well, as long as the demi-fey didn't pinopint her as a dark elf and therefore an enemy she woudl keep the peace...
...unless they decided to annoy her...
...pity htere wasn't enough meat on them to make a decent meal...

Cyclonia held her hand out to help Princess Thundora down. then got up on her own. she then bowed low in front of Mycroft, saying, "Presenting a champion of the nature sprites; Princess Thundora, the lightning sprite. I am her handmaiden, Cyclonia, a Wind Sprite and not but lowly commoner." she bowed again and moved back to behind Princess Thundora, who shook her head. Princess Thundora stepped foward when Cyclonia, who had not once looked behind herself at the Elf said, "Is it safe to have a Dark Elf here?"

"Better where you can see me than where you cannot niave one" she said smoothly. It seemed that the wee flying midges wouldn't be content to let her be...

"Relax miss," Mycroft said. "Pretty sure I'm considering that one a Champion."
"Please forgive" Thundora said with a bow, "Cyclonia is protective of me. she is sweet really, you just have to get to know her. If you trust the Elf, the i shall too, thus shall Cyclonia."
"I wouldnt go so far as to say i trust the lass, but she can stay for now."

"Well said, trust is a commodity you can ill afford"
...and then it happened. A bellowing voice near shook the foundations of the room itself. "HULLO THE KEEP! YER DURNED GATES LOCKED AND YER GUARDS BEEN THUMPED GOOD! YE GOT TO THE COUNT O' TEN WHEN ME AN MY BROTHER'LL USE OUR OWN KEY!"
Shae winced slightly. "Dwarves..."
((and that does it for me tonight. it's almost 7 here, time for bed...Hope the rest of your day isn't to bad!))

"NO WE'RE BLEEDIN PIXIES OUT TO KNICK FROM YOUR PANTRY!" Svernin yelled back, right before Gongrol swatted the back of his head.
"IGNORE THE DOLT OF A BROTHER O' MINE FOR A MITE, WE'RE HERE IN THE NAME OF GREY LEDGE MINE TO ACCOMPANY A HUMAN"
"Us, the right and left hand of the temple proper traipsin after a human..." Svernin snorted.
"You can traipse, I'm walkin."
*****
Shae sighed...itching to leave here and now...but with a will of steel, she stayed. Things were not looking well for this band...she doubted even half of the "champions" would pass the true tests...That cyclonie though... that demi-fey had steel in her soul...and was far likelier to a be a weilder than her leige lady...
...and dwarves...loud, obnoxious, dwarves..."I hope you have a well stocked cellar...the only way to truly shut them up for a moment is to drown them in drink" she murmured to Mycroft.

It had taken a few days but Arkin and the wolf managed to find thier way to the castle. Carefully making emerging from the woods he stopped when he heard the shouting. Looking ahead he saw two dwarves shouting at the gate. "Ho there!" Arkin shouted, glad that dwarves would be the first he met rather than another human.
He approached the two dismounting from his horse and holding hand up in greeting.

"Ho! Ye be here to open the gate?"
"Ye shouldn't lock it if yer expectin company, keep that in mind sprout"
"Yeah! What if the company wasn't as fergivin as us huh? Coulda been a problem..."
"Anyway, open up, we're ready te sit fer awhile."
Both dwarves looked at him expectantly.

"I'm sorry friends, but this isn't my castle. Wouldn't want a place like this to tell the truth, and I'd certainly be more hospitable if it were mine. That's the trouble with humans, no manners." He spoke sharply about the humans, placing himself away from them despite the obvious.
"But, if they don't open up I'm sure I can help get us in anyways. How long have you been waiting?"

"Oh, bout a minute now...AND I'M GETTING IMPATIENT!" Svernin roared to the open window.
Gongrol eyed the human up and down "Ye warnin us or ye tellin us that ye was raised by soummat different?" he peered at eth wolf as if blaming it for the Human's odd ways.

The wolf growled at him, sneering and Arkin answered, "Something different."
Sitting down on a log he looked up at the gate and pulled a flask from his side, "A minutes not all that long. Probably quite a few stairs for whatever fat royalty lives in there. Here, well give them a few more before we knock this thing down." He pulled out the plug from the flask and offered it to the dwarves.
