This is a modern horror piece, based around a government project gone haywire.
The government has teams of people, composed of a weapon and a controller. The weapons are assasins, mentally and emotionally bonded to their controllers, few survive their controller's deaths.
New weapons and controllers are apprenticed with an older team to learn, and only about twenty teams exist.
This story centers on a team gone Rogue. Tara (artist macabre) and her controller, Elric Hammer. Elric enjoys Tara's psychotic art pieces and does encourage it, as long as she's happy and they get jobs get done to pay the rent.
The government is not amused by this teams defection. There was one weapon that survived the death of her controller...Nina was part of the team that trained Tara's team, and her controller was killed by the girl when her psychosis was first evident. She was placed in a mental institution whiel Tara was kept in eth program under stricter control. Nina was released by Agent Miller when he was set to track down the killer. She is currently labeled highly dangerous, barely controlled.
Agent Miller was assigned by the government to track down what they beleive to be their rogue killer. He did not have clerance to release Nina nor enlist her aid, but he cares more about stopping the murders than anything else. He is currently rogue form teh governmenyt himself, his only aid coming from Nina.
Currently, Miller and Nina are trying to track down Tara, and having hard time doing so.
