Leelonan was on the ground clutching her chest, obviously having trouble breating.
Thundora and Cyclonia were stagerring, off balance and startled.
Mycroft's hand was on his horse his eyes widened in horror, his mind replaying what had happened. "Not right" was all he managed in his horrifed state.
Kaeko was grounded and unconcious.
no one seemed to notice the Elf who was having trouble living. no one could see past their own current afflinctions.

Gongrol slid off his hissing lizard to sit on the ground...the ground was very comforting...
Svernin tried to orient himself, lurching a bit in his saddle. Once it was clear that there were no more demons he growled and centered on the dark elf. It wouldn't take much...
Shaper seemed to shake of the disorientation quickest. It was obvious to him that the demons were gone...and no one seemed to care. With a growl, the earth reached up to secure Svernin, as Shaper saw him as a danger, and the small fey walked to Shae, not feeling up to flying. "My lady?"
Shae barely moved, really didn't even hear Shaper. She just needed a little bit of time...she had never shadow walked so many...so far...
Shaper went pale, an interesting feat with his dark skin. "Help! Help her! Please!"

A new figure walked dangerously into the clearing. his face was covered with some dangerous combination of horns and thorns. he looked among the champions and etc. he reached down to Shae and placed a finger on her forehead. the pain and fatigue began to leave her. he gave her new energy. "A dark creature such as you i have no problem healing, but the light elf is in the most danger I suggest you help her now. she can only live a few more moments without air." the creature walked as a man, but his claws, fangs, and thorn like horns marked him easily as an upper level demon.

Shae staggered to her feet and swayed a moment. She didn't try to follow the demon lord, nor question him. She simply accepted. After all, not all demons were bent on the destruction of this world or the subjugation of it's people...
She'd probably catch hell from the rest of her party later for her decision to let him be...
But that was later.
Shaper seemed to be in shock, and she didn't blame him, she limped alone to Leelonan's side. "Sister, do not fight so hard, it is what causes the darkness to linger..."
It took her just a second to realize that hte light elf had no intention, or perhaps ability, to listen to her. That left Shae to breathe for her.
Once she was certain that the light elf could breathe alone, she ceased, cradling the womans head in her lap until she chose to awaken. Until such time...Shae simply leaned back against the tree and waited for the arguing from the rest of the party to start again.

The entrance of the demon lord disturbed the horse and wolf even more and it was all Arkin could do to calm them. Fighting past his own growing fear he drew the two close and watched as Shae helped the light elf along.
Seeing no one else was up to it he stood and addressed the demon. "Thank you for your help, but who are you and what do you want?"

"I am Saeful, a humble demon-master" he said refering to the race of demons gifted with the ability to control other demons. "I want you to succeed in your quest. you are the champions, are you not?"

Shae simply listened...if she was quessing correctly...this demon was one of the "Natural" ones, if such could said of demons. Existing here since the creation of man...and he didn't like the incursions of new demons from a leaking world gate.
Or he simply wanted the power of the staves and didn't want to fetch them himself. She shrugged to herself, either way didn't truly bother her.

Leelonan's eyes fluttered open. she looked up without saying a word watching Shae. he felt Shae's taste on her lips.
Saeful looked around. "I can command very few demons with Godai around. I dislike being unable to perform my purpose. you see it is my view that in existance there must always be a balance. good and evil. I am evil, you are all good, but Godai is too much evil. thus to balance, i will become good if need be till he is destroyed." his eyes flashed red with hatred. "I temper my demons' killing, carefully to allow enough to always live to keep the balance complete."
Mycroft clutched his head screaming and ran into the woods alone, casting off his weapons a she ran.
The Sprites were helping eachother stand. Cyclonia was balancing Thundora as best she could.

Shae nodded "As I thought Dark Lord. So until such time as Godia is gone, we are uneasy allies." She noticed Leelonan awaken and smiled slightly "Welcome back sister, now excuse me, as I seem to have recovered, I think it best I fetch Mycroft back to us."
She slid Leelonan gently from her lap and stood, not quite as unsteadily as before. She gently scooped Shaper from the ground where he had fluttered toin shock and set him in her hood...the small fey had never done well against demons...and she unstood why. They were natural, and teh demons...less so.
She smiled grimly at Svernin's struggling form and gesture dto Gongrol "We will need a healer." She bowed slightly to teh demon lord and followed Mycroft's path.

The Demon-Master looked at her with good respect.
Leelonan sat up slowly and shook her head. she was trying her best to cast certain thoughts out of her head, but it had been a long time since she had had a romantic partner. her mind and heart were near desperate.
Mycroft ran long and hard into the forests. grunting and growling in a primal fashion.
Thundora watched with pity the others. Cyclonia looked warily at the demon master. Thundora approached him cautiously. "Who and what are you?" she asked in a diplomatic voice.

Shae handed Shaper to Gongrol "He's been bled. A good cleric can cure that, if he can be subdued. That will be my job, I'm depending on you, dwarf, to be a good cleric. If you are not up to it, tell me now and I will simply kill him."
Gongrol frowned. "I'm up to it. Fetch him quick gel, the further it spreads, the worse it'll hurt him"
"Fortunately, I am not concerned with hurting him" and she was gone. A blur, used to woods hunting. Following a raging human was easy. Her foot took him in teh side of the head, but she was sure he wasn't going down with just that...

the one weapon he had kept was immediatly used as he turned on her and roared like a beast. the dagger slashed her front so fast, even she couldnt have dodged it, fortunately he wasnt aiming to disembowl her. his dagger sliced open her clothes. he had her pinned on the ground his eyes glowing red, and snarling like a wild dog.

She arched an eyebrow. "Waela!" she whispered. She was a trained warrior, raise dto blades and combat from eth time she grew teeth. She smiled, and levered her legs under him, tossing himover her head and rolling atop him. She casually broke the wrist holding the dagger.
Hopefully they were making enough noise to draw teh cleric quickly, she didn't want to kil him...

Mycroft struggled against her as best he could, but he was only human.

A full minute. It took the blaste ddwarf a full minute to get to her. Shaper acted quickly, having earth and stone move to secure Mycroft so she could get clear of what was destined to be a painful healing...
And then the dwarf started to prove his mettle. Shae watched, stone faced as the tainted human screamed. Shaper shuddere din her hood once more "Death woudl have been kinder."
"Perhaps, but he deserves a chance. At atime like this, it is more the warrior's choice than any others to regain his sanity."
